Dr. Samantha D. Roberts

Dr. Samantha Roberts is a clinician in supervised practice at Mariani and Associates, specializing in pediatric clinical psychology and neuropsychology. She provides comprehensive assessments and targeted intervention services for children and adolescents with a wide range of medical, neurological, and developmental needs. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with acquired and traumatic brain injuries, complex medical conditions, and neurodevelopmental and mental health concerns, with particular focus on congenital heart disease, preterm birth, stroke, concussion, genetic conditions (e.g., NFI), autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, selective mutism, disruptive behaviour, and learning difficulties, among others.


Dr. Roberts completed her honours B.A. from McMaster University in Hamilton, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology (Neuropsychology Stream) from York University in Toronto. Dr. Roberts completed her pre-doctoral residency at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, with rotations in inpatient and outpatient brain injury, neuromotor assessment, and online psychosocial interventions. She also completed clinical practica at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. She takes a client-centered, developmentally informed approach to care, drawing from evidence-based modalities, tailoring assessments and interventions to each child's unique needs and developmental level.
