Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational assessment is used to:
- Evaluate individual learning and achievement (reading, writing, and math) difficulties.
- Evaluate strengths and weaknesses
- Identify learning challenges associated with individual learning profiles,
- Predict academic performance
- Assist with planning for an individual’s schooling.
The outcome of a psychoeducational assessment is a diagnosis (if applicable) and evidence-based recommendations for development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Response to Intervention (RTI) approaches, and coordination of additional learning supports and services.
